the question is...
am i turning australian (like yiqi says it) or is it just that singaporeans are getting uglier and uglier?
since my return to singapore a month ago, i must say that i have been utterly disgusted by the image that singaporeans portray in various public areas. the simple sense of courtesy of saying 'excuse me' or 'sorry' don't mean shit to them. could it be because they feel that they are taken for granted when they are courteous so they just give up being courteous? or could it be in the inner nature of these ppl to be so rude in public in the presence of many of our society's young kids and teens?
a simple trip to NTUC has brought up this LITTLE issue that has been bothering me since i came back. People do not give way to each other. People do not properly request to look at things. People do not kindly ask to be given way to.
this is utterly disgusting and very disgraceful.
another incident involves my simple morning trip to work. missing one bus because of overcrowded-ness is bad enough. about to miss another bus because of the same reason because people are just too lazy to move their ass is worse. being stuck to the tvmobile screen or just being plain selfish not to move in just turns me off and makes me want to make these people suffer. like everyone else, ppl need to get to work on time. so why cant we just think of others when we take a simple bus trip to work? as much as u need to get to work on time, others too need to make it on time. doesnt thinking of others first come as one of the most impt life lessons?
all these have to come out now because it has been stuck in me for damn bloody long. who knows that if i do not let it out. i might even hurt someone one of these days. maybe an arm-bar or a rear-naked choke. yes. i am very angsty. yes i am full of anger. and yes most probably i might have high blood pressure. =)
